Personal Introduction
In this section, you need to introduce yourself to the institution. A candidate has 25 seconds to read the prompt and 30 seconds to record the answer. This section is not included in the score but has been sent to the institute along with your PTE score chart.
Read Aloud
In this section, You need to read aloud the text that can be displayed on the screen. For this, you have only 30-40 seconds to read the text and prepare for PTE read-aloud.
The important thing is to remember that you need to speak only after hearing the tone before your response can not be counted and not recorded. If you realize you made a mistake, don’t stop and continue the sentence until you finish reading the text.
Repeat Sentence
For this PTE speaking exam item, audio is played that students must hear, and when the audio is finished, a microphone with the word “recording” appears.

Tips for Speaking Section
After knowing what is PTE speaking, you must know some tips for PTE speaking.
- For Read aloud, be alert with intonations and vocabulary as they convey overall meaning.
- During PTE preparation, check for any problematic words and practice them.
- Don’t hurry. Maintain an average speed.
- For a repeat sentence, try to concentrate on the meaning of the sentence.
- Use punctuation marks to help you understand where to take pauses and stress in the sentence.
- In Describing an image, use phrases and words like rise, fall, increase, decrease, remain stable/steady, etc.
- You will have little time, so don’t try to explain everything in detail. Look for the severe values, including the largest and smallest, the highest and lowest, etc.
- Don’t try to make notes word for word because you may miss the important details if you write too much.
- In the Re-tell lecture, try to predict the topic if there is a picture.
- Remember, the microphone will close automatically if you do not speak for 3 seconds.
- Your answer will not be recorded if you speak before opening the microphone. So, try to talk after the microphone is on.
